Meet the founder
For over 12 years, Dr. Sahana Sharan has been in various leadership roles in healthcare – successfully developing and scaling strategies from the ground-up, optimizing operations and enabling value-based care across provider organizations and a health plan.
She has worked across all payer types – both nationally and regionally, and has turned around performance, broken the performance plateau and successfully demonstrated outstanding results.
As the Vice President of Value-Based Care, she oversaw strategy and operations for United Healthcare, a Fortune 5 company, and held accountability for the organization’s care transformation efforts with over 130 health systems and provider groups across 15 States.
Prior to that, as the National Director for Value-Based Care, she built and scaled value-based care strategy and operations from the ground up for Tenet Hospital Corporation, a Fortune 200 company, where she was responsible for over 600K lives across 18 hospital and provider networks.
Before her time at Tenet, she worked at Henry Ford Health and helped build their clinically integrated network (CIN) with independent and employed physicians; deployed clinical programs for members; and developed a framework for bundle payment pricing strategy for direct to employer contracting.
A physician by training, graduating at the top of her class, she completed her master’s degree in Health Policy and Management with a core in Healthcare Finance from New York University.
